INFO ABOUT OUR DAY IN EDINBURGH

WHEN? Wednesday the 13th September

Leave Perth @ Average Gallery at 9PM
Arrive in Edinburgh @ 10AM

Leave Edinburgh @ 4:30PM
Arrive back in Perth @ 5:30PM

Hey Guys!

Here’s some notes for our Echo in Edinburgh day this coming Wednesday!

We wanna leave Perth at 9am, so meet in time to be in the car and leave for as close to 9am as we can. We’ll meet at Average Gallery, but if that is going to be a struggle at that time, please let us know ASAP so we can sort something out :)

To make things easier, Jen and I will be taking both our cars instead of the bus or train. This means that we can hopefully avoid any strikes, and if anyone has mobility issues (I do) it should help us moving about. We also have equipment to bring - painters gotta have paint!

We arrive at the Volunteer Fair in Leith and will have to suss out the space and set up! You guys are literally the facilitators, so I’ll pep talk you and go through the action plan before the event opens and you get a chance to walk around.

There’ll be time to check out the stalls and organisations, and there are some talks happening on the day too. We’ve been asked if a person from Echo would like to speak at all, which is awesome - let me know if you do!

I believe that Volunteer Edinburgh want to try to live stream or capture the art being created. Let me know if you have an issue with this. Hamish will also be coming with us for the day to capture everything and be a part of the Project. Lu will hopefully be calling through to grab some footage too - again, let me know if you have any issues with this.

While we're in Edinburgh for the day let's make the most of it. We are definitely going to try to have chill beach time (weather dependent) but we’re also trying to organise some other things to see and places to check out. These won’t be anything too busy or crazy as I’m sure we’ll all be people-d out after the Volunteer Fair.

We’ll be fed at the Fair and also grab a coffee and a snack for afternoon tea. If you feel like you should pack some extra snacks, go for it :)

We may be visited by one or two people from the Culture Collective Network at some point in the day.

Please try to bring a water bottle that you can use and refill throughout the day. We won’t be doing anything centred around money, but if you have the capability we’d recommend bringing a spare few pounds in case there’s an emergency.

Bring a jumper, we can always leave it in the car. Wear whatever you want, just know that you may need to bend up and down when creating the art and we will be walking and on our feet, so comfy shoes for the win.

If you’re under 16, could you please send me a voice note or something of your guardian saying it’s fine for you to come / they know you’re coming. If you can’t do this, let us know and we’ll sort something.

I think that’s it!

Cheers Guys!

Jaz and Jen
