WHAT’S HAPPENING?
Hey Yamba, I’m Jaz.
You might know my wife Jen and I by now, or maybe little Sunny. You might have known me from before. Well, we’re back, and we’ve (re)opened our space Average Gallery.
Juggling work and life and kids is something I think everyone can relate, or at least have empathy for. I’m doing my best to get the website and workshop plans up and running so that you can see what’s going on, all from the comfort of your own home (or phone).
For now, if you see the doors open, come on in. There’ll be a sign out the front making it clear whether the space is busy with a workshop or if it’s cool to come have a browse.
The more workshops I have up and running, the more info you’ll see on here.
Follow @average_gallery on Insta for the lovely Caitlin to keep you updated with the fun stuff!
Cheers,
Jaz and Jen + co.
WORKSHOPS
Every Friday night, come sit and just chill out and forget about the week that was.
Inside our little bubble of the Gallery, We paint something new each week, so you can come once, or come a few times and take home a few new works of art.
Sip on a Mischief Brew while you work, or bring something harder and mix em together. Glasses of all shapes and sizes ready for you to fill with what you want. Or maybe you want a Good Shit Coffee? Average Gallery’s take on a cheeky brew, thanks to our friends St Ali.
Hey, welcome to the Caffenol Club. This fortnightly get together joins learning new things with camaraderie and sharing, and just being stoked about using 35mm and the art of developing film with coffee.
Each fortnight we share some of our favourite shots we've taken, learn how to develop using caffenol and sharing any tips and tricks, learn about a new photographer or a piece of tech or kit, and get a little something to take home with us other than just good vibes.
Caffenol Club members also get a bingo card that gives them access to bonuses in the shop, including 35mm or 120mm film, and other perks.
This one's for the Gays, the Theys, the Queers and the Still Undecided. Pink Painting Club is our excuse to have a weekly party, covered in glitter and to the sweet sound of disco beats.
This is a discounted workshop, because we already pay a price existing every day. Please bring your smiles and good vibes as this is currently funded out of love!
We'll do something different every week, but always fun, and with a big slant on being chill and sharing some tea.
